Three-day district level orientation and training program on Strengthening Healthy Timing and Spacing of Pregnancy and Nutrition through Counseling were organized in 10 districts of Nepal from January to September, 2014 as a joint effort of SUAAHARA, USAID, DHOs and HHESS. HHESS carried out District Level Training of Trainers (DTOT) to key health workers of Darchula, Gorkha, Syangja, Mustang, Myagdi, Rupandehi, Dolakha, Bhojpur, Sankhuwasabha and Solukhumbu in their respective districts with the support of JHPIEGO. After the DTOT, the trainers conducted trainings to field based health workers as roll out of the training. HHESS also conducted monitoring and evaluation visit in six districts (Darchula, Syangja, Rupandehi, Mustang, Sankhuawasabha and Solukhumbu). Initially, health professionals (Gynaecologists, General Physicians, Doctors and Nurses) from HHESS were trained as Master Trainers through the training programme organized by Family Health Division, Department of Health Services, Ministry of Health and Population.
